I took a chance on the weather today, as the forecast said 38% chance of rain, and took a new hive out to one of my out apiaries and was going to inspect the rest of the hives at 2 sites.

I got the new hive set in place with no problem, and inspected the hive next to it, which is a very strong colony, and got caught by a shower as I was finishing closing the hive, so called it a day – I don’t want to risk chilling the brood or getting damp in the hives at this time of year.

I’ll have to return and inspect these hives in the coming days, and remove two full supers from one of the hives as well.

Rain stopped play for the day, so I’ll have to find myself some jobs I can do indoors….
